Leslie Edmiston Alexander, 78 of Placerville, died March 12 at a local hospital. He was born in California and lived 34 years in El Dorado County.
Mr. Alexander was a former night watchman of the Beach Box Lumber Company.
He was a veteran of World War I and member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post of Placerville.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife, Vida Alexander of Placerville, two sons, William Alexander of Placerville and Edward L. Alexander of Hayward, a daughter Doris Moore of Rialto, three sisters, Glydas Stephens of Hemet, Bertha Fertig of New York and Ruby Ostergaard of Clovis, 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A private family funeral was held Wednesday at memory Chapel followed by private cremation.
Lois Pearson states that Les Alexander is buried outside the fenced boundaries. He is Rosemary Alexander Callahan's father-in-law. Bronze military veterans marker now in place, PVT US ARMY.
